Tour t-shirt design

tshirtcontest2

We need to decide what will actually be on our tour t-shirts! Each year, the t-shirt design is done by a student: this is your chance to get your design on this year’s shirt. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Decide what would be a good design – hopefully it will be something associated with The Netherlands – tulips, windmills, clogs, bicycles…? You might include some musical things, but please not just a treble clef on its own – we’re looking for something more interesting than that!
  2. You need to include the text Hayes School Music Tour – Netherlands 2020
  3. The whole thing needs to be able to be printed in one colour (no shading, just solid colour), and needs to stand out so that it can be seen from a distance: it needs to be BOLD!
  4. It can be hand-drawn or done on a computer – however, if you hand-draw it, it will need to be done in black ink so it is bold enough to be reproduced on the t-shirts

NEW rehearsal pattern from January!

rehearsals from jan 19

Well done on a truly fabulous concert this week! Everyone performed brilliantly, and we have had so many positive comments from parents, teachers, visitors, and ex-students. You rock!

From January, we have moved rehearsals around a bit, to fit in with the days that Mrs West and Mrs Foster will be in school. Rehearsals start on 13th Jan (second week back). The yellow ones on the table above are the ones that have moved.

In the meantime, have a tremendous holiday, a great Christmas and a happy New Year!

…possibly the most over-the-top arrangement you’ll ever hear! Awesomely tight performance though…

  • The concert will finish at about 8.45pm

Big-Tidy-Up-2

This will happen on Thursday lunchtime. Clearing up after any kind of gig is a necessary and unavoidable part of a musician’s life, so please participate fully by helping at this point.
